last friday we went to our first mehndi and ladies sangeet. i was hoping that i wouldn't give birth before we went to all of the wedding festivities and we made it.

since we've never been to an indian wedding, i was really looking forward to experiencing every little detail like my very first mehndi design. check it out.

rumor has it that the jolie-pitts have left nyc. there goes my dream of jonah and the jolie-pitt clan ever being friends.

well, now i hear that the affleck family is here while jennifer gardner is doing a show on broadway. my next dream is for jonah and violet to meet and become bf/gf and for his mommy to meet the dreamy ben affleck.

we been looking for a comparable double stroller like the bugaboo but couldn't find anything that we liked or that was similar until i saw the pear, omg! it just so cool. too bad they only sell it in the uk.

if anybody is in the uk and wants to buy this for us, we'll gladly accept.

Madison

i'm so glad that we finally got to meet madison. she is super cute and i couldn't stop interacting w/ her. she's so sweet. her face just kills me.

after learning how to say jonah's name, she couldn't stop shouting "JONAH, JONAH, JONAH!" all through the streets of the uws. it was so funny.

i saved the best for last

when i found out that bono was going to be at the cgi event, i was hoping that the edge would also be there and maybe, just maybe would perform a song at the end. this didn't happen but i got to see my man. this is how close our seats were.



i had a perfect shot of him from my seat. i couldn't stop staring. love it!

before the event, melissa and pamela went to the vip reception and got a picture w/ bono and the edge.





she said that they were very cool. so jealous.

cgi concert

this has been a pretty packed weekend. yesterday melissa gave us tickets to the cgi discussion panel/concert at the apollo theater. check out who was there:



it was a very cool event. jerry lee lewis and solomon burke opened up the show. then, after the discussion, wyclef jean, alicia keys and shakira performed.

i'm not too crazy about shakira but after seeing her perform, hips don't lie w/ wyclef jean, i was definitely entertained and she drew me right in. now i could see why guys think she's hot.



some other celebs that we saw in the crowd were sarah maclaughlin, chelsea clinton, lauren bush and harry belafonte.

to top off an already awesome night, we were unexpectedly treated to a ride home in a stretch limo. score!

melissa & ouest

on friday my friend, melissa was in town for the clinton global initiative meeting so we got together w/ her and co-worker, pamela. we went to ouest on the uws. the food was good but the service sucked.

after we had dinner w/ the tragers last night, we saw the most beautiful cat ever. his name is hemingway and i forgot what type of cat it was but just look at it. so beautiful.

IRRITATED!

i am soooo fucking irritated today and i have no idea why. everything is getting on my nerves today.

our new friends

last week, i met a couple at our usual playground that we go almost everyday. this is robbi, sean and their son, parker. parker is 4 months older than jonah but so far, they are getting along great.



i think since we met them last week, i've seen them and hung out everyday. it always nice to meet new parents.

they are the nicest couple you'll meet. sean is such a hands-on dad. you don't see that too often here. we're always impressed to see him w/ parker. sean is so loving, patient and caring as a father and a husband. as soon as he gets home from his long day of work, he takes parker to the park and has his father/son time and let's robbi do her thing. so cool!



then, there's robbi...she's this down-to-earth, sweet, liberal, funny and a caring mommy. when she found out that i loved the edge, look what she sent me (only works on internet explorer):

celebs

i think everybody knows what a celebrity freak i am. well, i just found out that ryan gosling was spotted walking around west village. this gets me so mad b/c knowing that i could have ran into him somewhere on the streets makes me crazy. i love this guy.



then, i find out that brad pitt and his kids have been all around central park since last friday. why can't i be at the right place at the right time. i think jonah could be really good friends w/ maddox, pax, zahara or shiloh. :)

it's not over

i thought it was all over but it's not. i got a call the other day asking if i wanted to petsit bart and victor again in sept. after thinking about things, i decided to do it. i just can't pass up the money that i'll get for taking care of these 2 dogs for 5 days. i think w/ the money that i earn from all the petsitting, i'm gonna get a new tattoo.



after this, it's really over.

pimples

i have this huge zit underneath my left nostril. it's one of those zits that you can't pop b/c it's so huge and there's no hole to squeeze out the nasty shit. the more you try to pop it, the bigger it gets. so i'm trying not to touch or squeeze at it but it's so hard. i know it's gonna take forever for this thing to go away.

i'm so self conscious. i feel like everybody is looking at my zit. this sucks!

here's dakota

dakota is the last dog i'll be petsitting and walking. next week is my last week of dog walking. i have to say that i'll be relieved once it's all over.

dakota is the cutest and most affectionate pugs you'll ever meet. she always greets everybody w/ a smile and w/ so much excitement. so sweet and her little bark is so cute. i just love her to death. just look at that face.



it's so sad, you could tell that dakota just wants to be close to sophie but sophie just growls whenever dakota gets close to her. she's not even doing anything. she just wants to be wherever sophie is but sophie won't have it.

bart

bart and victor are going home today. thank God. i have to say that they were much more work than i thought. well, i should say that bart has been the most work. he's almost 10 years old and he has sooooo many problems, poor thing. just to name a few:

1. he has back problems so he walks super slow. if you tug him even a little, it'll put him out for 2 wks. so i had to carry him many times.

2. he has allergies so he's taking lots of medication.

3. he has a slight case of lyme disease.

4. he has a drinking problem so we couldn't leave water down.

for the first 5 days, he's been vomiting all over the apt. luckily, he was vomiting only at night after jonah went down. it was pretty disgusting. after no relief for bart, i had to take him to the vet to be hospitalized for 3 days to find out what the problem was.



the vet found out that it was one of the meds he was taking for lyme disease that was causing the vomiting. so they had to add another medication to help w/ the vomiting which totally works. after i brought him home, he hasn't thrown up at all. thank goodness. so now he's on 6 different meds. poor little guy.

my 2nd pregnancy

so far, this pregnancy has not been as fun as when i was pregnant w/ jonah. i'm 7 1/2 mnths now and i can't wait for this to be over. a lot of things that are going on in my body, never happened to me on my 1st pregnancy. here are some things that are going on:

1. i have a lot of pressure down there. i feel like the baby is gonna pop out already. this started awhile ago.

2. i have this huge nasty varicose vein on my upper leg and it looks so disgusting. i heard that this happens to pregnant women but i didn't think i would get one esp since i didn't have any on my 1st. the dr said that it should go away after i have the baby. i hope so.

3. i could feel the baby kicking like crazy and it's pretty painful sometimes. this one is very active.

4. i started feeling contractions a lot sooner than last time.

5. i'm getting a lot more backaches and i feel more tired. it's probably b/c i'm tending to jonah.

6. my arms and legs fall asleep during the night which wakes me up.

7. my feet hurt more this time around.

there's more stuff that's going on but i won't list them out here. it's too graphic and will probably gross you guys out.

let the madness begin

this morning was pretty hectic. tim had to go into work early but thankfully he was able to walk sophie and lily for me. it's been raining today, which means that i had to wipe down all the dogs when they came back.

tim is not that patient w/ some dogs so i knew that it wouldn't be good if he walked bart. so he stayed w/ jonah while i walked him which took 20 min.

when i got back, tim rushed to work while i got jonah ready to take w/ me to walk victor. luckily, victor went really fast and we got back in.

afterwards, i had to feed all the kids. everybody has to be fed separately b/c they would all try to steal each others food. then, i was finally done. such an ordeal. i didn't realize how much work it was gonna be. hopefully, it'll be easier as the days go by.

they came over last night and so far so good. the only part that's going to suck is that i have to walk them separately b/c bart is much older and much slower. it'll be hard for me to wake up earlier in the morning to walk them before tim goes to work.

oh yeah and they kinda stink b/c when they drink water they get water all in their beards so i have to wipe them down constantly.



i think jonah loves having all these dogs in the apt. i hope jonah loves dogs when he grows up. just like lily, she been running after victor and bart.

lily

here's the pommie that i petsat this week. overall, she was a very good dog. i'll be sad to take her home today.



jonah tortured her a little bit and chased her around the apt a few times but she always kept her ground and held strong.



tim is not a big dog-lover like me so when he said that he wouldn't mind petsitting lily again, i was shocked. he even went as far to say that she was cute. SHOCKING!

my new fav reality show

i just watched an episode of fashionista diaries on soapnet. i am hooked.

being in nyc, i've always been nervous in getting an assistant job here. i'd be scared if i ended up having a mean boss and what if they gave me something that i couldn't do. would i be able to handle the pressure?

well, after watching the first episode, i think i wouldn't be able to handle it. if i had to deal w/ the attitudes that i saw tonight, i think i would go home crying everyday.

update on other shows:
1. i hated the two coreys show. i couldn't even get past 10 min. it was so boring and not interesting. so that's off my list.
2. scott baio show is ok. it's not that great but definitely more interesting than the 2 coreys. i'll keep watching for now.
3. watched l.a. ink tonight and i loved it. kat von d rocks and so do the other artists that she hired. i so want to get tattooed by one of them. later miami ink.
4. i'm totally hooked on rock of love. all i have to say is that i'm soooo glad that rodeo is GONE!

dogs dogs dogs

it's gonna be a busy august. maybe it's the hot, humid weather in nyc but everybody seems to be going on vacation this month.

starting monday, i'll be petsitting a little pomeranian, lily for 5 days. so next week, we'll have 3 animals in the apt.

then, next thursday, i'm petsitting 2 scottish terriers, bart and victor for 11 days. including sophie and hippy, that'll make 5 animals in our small 1 bedroom apt.

then, on the 25th, i'm petsitting the cutest pug ever, dakota. she is so friendly and so affectionate. i just love her.

it's gonna be a crazy month but i'm looking forward to having all these dogs in the apt. it should be fun. i'll post pics later.

i was watching david letterman the other night and paul rudd was on. i have to say that he has aged very well. i couldn't stop staring at his cute little face. just look at him. so adorable.

In n Out in NYC

we went to shake shack last week and it wasn't that great. it made me miss in n out so when i read this article, i got very excited. i hope it's true: http://gawker.com/news/good-eats

in the beginning, i thought that shake shack kicked in n out's ass but the couple of times that we went there, we were disappointed. i think i'm done w/ shake shack, at least for long awhile.

reality shows galore

summer is here again and here comes all the reality shows. i love it!!! here are some shows that have just started or will start soon that i'll be watching.

scott baio is 45 and single
this show started last sunday and i love it already. i don't really like scott baio but it's definitely interesting to watch him try to stay celibate for 2 months and to tell all his ex-gfs that he's sorry.

rock of love w/ bret michaels
this show also started last sunday and i'm already hooked. the girls are all skanky and pretty dumb. it's fun to see how they're all trying to get bret's attention.

the two coreys
this show starts on 7/29 on a&e and it's a reality show about corey haim and corey feldman. i used to love corey haim back in the day and you know i'll be watching this one and to see what a mess they are.

l.a. ink
when i saw that kat was fired from miami ink, i was soooo disappointed but then i started seeing ads around the city about her new show, i got all excited. it starts on 8/7 and i can't wait. i think it's gonna be better than miami ink. sorry chris nunez.

man band
i don't know when this is gonna start but it's gonna be on vh1. it's about former members of N' Sync, LFO, 98 Degrees and Color Me Badd starting a manband.

w/ the exception of l.a. ink, the 80s are DEFINITELY back.

my bday keeps going

when i was a kid i always, always wanted a mint chip roll cake from baskin robbin on my bday but for some reason, i never remembered. so when tim asked me what i wanted for my bday.....



need i say more. i'm a happy woman. it was just as i expected. so yummy.

on my bday, tim came home w/ these beautiful flowers and the best cupcakes ever. shout out to billy's! i could eat the whole box.

i love my bro

after i found out that paul gave mary a shuffle just b/c, i have to admit that i was a little jealous. why doesn't paul give me anything like that just b/c. so i tell paul this and he says maybe he'll give me his nano. i get all excited and start to bug him about it every time we talk. we go on about this for almost a month. then, he finally says, forget it and that he's not gonna give me his nano after all and that i should just go buy a shuffle for myself since it's only $80.

now, i think, everybody knows what a cheap skate i am and i can't seem to bring myself to spend $80 on this little thing. so after throwing a jealous fit look what paul got me for my bday. he even had it gift wrapped and engraved. i feel so special.





i have the best brother in the whole world. thank you, best brother in the whole world. :)

what happened?

i was watching the concert for diana and they said that duran duran was one of princess diana's favorite bands. so they were one of the firsts to perform at the concert.

back in the 80s, i absolutely LOVED duran duran. my sister and i were totally obsessed w/ them. like everybody else, we thought that john taylor was the hottest one of them all. just look at him:



so when i was watching the concert i was shocked by how bad he looked now. he looked high or something. i just saw him a couple of years ago and he didn't look this bad.





i have to say that all the other guys aged pretty well esp nick rhodes. that guy has not aged but what happened to john taylor.

seeing grace and kenny (tim's cousin). grace is pregnant, too but w/ twins! God help them.


spending time w/ the kaus. chris and the kids were nice enough to take us all the way to the airport. thanks, chris.

it was a really restful time for me b/c the family and tim took care of jonah the whole time while i just sat around on my ass doing nothing. :) gotta love family.
