Larry Baby!!!

i could die a happy woman now. today tim, jonah and i were walking in soho when we see.....

dah dah dah dahhhhh.....

LARRY fucking MULLEN JR.

he was right in front of us. i started freaking out, of course. can my smile be any bigger?

thank goodness, we had our camera w/ us. tim asked if he was ok w/ pictures and he nodded. after taking this picture, we saw him walk into the mercer hotel.

i still can't believe that we bumped into and actually touched a member of one of the greatest bands EVER. unbelievable! only in ny. i just love this city.

my small face

i just love it when my little jones makes this face. it kills me.

if i were a man...

where we live there's lots of construction going on. whenever i pass by i always see the burly construction guys working so hard. they're either breaking something apart or building something. i think if i were a man, i would love to be a construction worker. it must be so satisfying to finish your work. i think i would love it. soooo she-a-nah.

thursday w/ galit and maya

today i hung out w/ galit and maya. they came over and i found out a little bit more about my new friend. like i said in my previous post, she's a makeup artist and i found out that she does billy idol's makeup whenever he's in nyc. i love it! then, she also just did barbara bush's makeup (the daughter).

she said that when i come over next time, she could do my makeup. SCORE!

my new mommy friend, galit

well, it happened. i met w/ my new friend, galit and her friend from israel, odelia today. they are 2 very cool chicks.

we started out walking from galit's apt, down the esplanade to tribeca. it took us 3 hours to go there and back. we just took our time just chatting it up about motherhood, traveling, about my life, about her life and about odelia's life. it was great.

jonah was crying in the beginning but he ended up falling asleep (of course). maya started out sleeping and woke up at the end. very cute.

here are some pics that i took.

galit and maya

while waiting in the subway, a lady w/ the same bugaboo started a conversation w/ us. we started exchanging stories about stollers, motherhood, kid's clothes, etc, etc, etc. turns out that she was getting off on the same stop as us and that she lived really close by our old apt. we also found out that she's a first time mom and that her daughter, maya is 1 month older than jonah.

we hit it off so well that we exchanged emails and numbers. so we're gonna get together this week. i'm totally looking forward to it. FINALLY, i meet a mom in the city that i feel comfortable enough to hang w/.

galit is a totally hip nyc mom. she had a cool look to her. she's a makeup artist (love it!). i'm hoping that she could give me some pointers. :)

cupcakes

i brought the love jones to my weekly appointment w/ the chiropractor. they are sooo nice there. when i'm getting my treatment, they totally help out by playing w/ jonah and holding him. love it!

after the chiropractor, i try to go see tim after work and i always pass this cupcake place called buttercup bake shop on 72nd. it looked so tempting so i went in. now i've had some damn good cupcakes at magnolia's and billy's bakery and i'm sorry, but this place doesn't even compare. makes you appreciate the truly delicious cupcakes. billy's still #1 in my book. GOOOOOOO BILLY'S!

the village

today jonah and i went exploring around greenwich village and the west village. we didn't really find anything new but it was still fun going out w/ the jones. oh wait, i take that back...i did find something new. it was a little park/pier at the end of christopher street. it was really nice b/c i saw a whole bunch of dogs there which means that i could bring the sophies there. i got one pic of it. check it out.

i start out my day trying to make my little sunshine laugh. just melts my heart.

strolled down this street in the village. everything looked so green and pretty i had to take a pic.

it was getting hot so we stopped by this jamba juice and had a peenya kowlada. yummy!

us at jefferson market garden. this is such a cute garden.

another pic at the jefferson market garden

Jonah's 1st tear

battery park city

today was another gorgeous day. 70 degrees. love it!

i went out late this afternoon and it could not have been more perfect. we live right next to the hudson river and by the esplanade. when you walk down the esplanade all you see are strollers galore, cyclists, runners, walkers and dogs. so today, i walked along the esplanade and here's what the love jones and i saw today.

the world financial center is right behind the jones....

this is the dog run that i used to take sophie to before the arrival of my beautiful son. i love this dog run. it has a little pool for the dogs to swim in over the summer.

shhhh......

the nyc police memorial....

this is one of the many parks in battery park city that we'll be taking the jones to when he gets older. sorry sophie, this is a no dog zone.

the irish hunger memorial pond....

i will definitely be taking jonah here to play. can't wait.
